Dr. Guo Ke is a professor at the School of Journalism and Communication, Shanghai International Studies University. He serves as the co-editor-in-chief of the English journal Online Media and Global Communication, a member of the National Journalism and Communication Discipline Supervisory Committee of China, a member of the International Communication Committee for National Commission of the People's Republic of China for UNESCO, and the vice president of the China International Communication Association. His research focuses on international news, international communication, external communication and international public opinion. He has published six books, including Contemporary External Communication, Introduction to International Communication, Comparative Studies on Media Consumption and Youth, and World Images in China Media and Global Perceptions of the Public, and has authored 90 papers in both Chinese and English. He has edited two book series including Global Communication and Chinese Discourse (6 books) and Global Discourse and Media Research (4 books), and set up the Global Communication Case Studies Platform.  After completing one National Social Science Major Project and 3 National Social Science General projects, he has, since December 2024, embarked on his second National Social Science Major project titled Research on the Design and Mechanism Construction of an International Communication Effectiveness Evaluation System (Project Number: 24&ZD216).
